Throughout her life, Sajeeda Dalvie has always been fascinated with the beautiful scenery of her hometown, Cape Town. Naturally, she found herself drawn to art and design.
This interest cultivated after she completed her secondary schooling, and further developed as she completed her 3 year course in Jewelry Design & Manufacture at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She found particular interest in the subjects of Drawing and Design, because of the various techniques and mediums used, such as graphite, charcoal, water-colours and layering of paper. After completing her tertiary education, she delved into art on canvas.
Sajeeda attended art classes at Soni Art Studio for a few weeks in 2011, but her styles are mainly self-taught. She currently focuses on acrylics and using different techniques and textures. What initially started as a hobby, resulted in a few commissioned art pieces. Her paintings were auctioned at a Cansa Relay for Life event, and also exhibited at the Castle of Good Hope.
Her passion is to create exquisite works of art that invoke feelings of joy, calmness and inspiration.
"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up" - Pablo Picasso
