TARGET
Water is an essential part of living creation.
We have the luxury of opening a tap in our homes and have access to clean water. In countries like Malawi, Mozambique and rural African areas, there is a shortage of clean, disease free water. In many areas, a female child as young as seven years old walks a minimum of 5km to collect water in the scorching sun or pelting rain for her family. This is the reality many families face in the rural areas. Many girls are taken out of school to ensure there is water available resulting in the lack of education for these young girls.
Majority of people depend on natural water resources like streams, rivers and lakes. The natural water resources are often contaminated water due to its over usage and are prone to water borne diseases such as cholera and bilharzia.
Caring Women’s Forum in conjunction with Africa Muslim Agency and the water stricken African countries would appreciate your donations towards water wells or boreholes. Sponsor a Waterwell & Borehole as a means of Sadaqah e Jariya.
‘The best form of charity is to give someone water (to drink)’ Ibn Majah.
